I became aware of Communities in Schools Benton-Franklin a couple of years ago through my role in Community Relations at STCU. While sitting at the breakfast and hearing the stories of the impact that CISBF has in the schools with kids at risk/in need and their families, I knew I wanted to support this organization! We are surrounded by amazing school districts in our community, however the schools and teachers only have so many resources. The CISBF Site Coordinators fill in to meet the needs of the students whether that is a person to talk to, someone to help them and their families connect with resources or some food from the pantry. The data supports the work that CISBF is doing – 96% of CISBF case managed kids stayed in school, 83% improved attendance and 90% improved their coursework! In our current environment with school buildings closed for the year, CISBF never stopped serving the needs of our kids, schools and communities. They have reached out across all our districts and schools meeting needs and helping kids stay on track.
I feel like CISBF is one our communities best kept secrets – let’s change that. I ask for you to make a contribution to continue the work of helping all our kids stay in school and be successful in life. Every dollar counts – each dollar given to CISBF is stretched to provide over $11 in services to kids in our community. Please also consider a monthly contribution to ensure CISBF continues its work. #AllInForKids
