When I was a child, I spent many evenings accompanying my mother in her work with the Kennewick School District. As the coordinator of several grant-funded programs assisting families, Mom invested her career in helping children and families reach their fullest potential through education. Shadowing my mother’s profession as a youth developed a deep-rooted passion to support my community.
This heritage contributes to the affinity I feel for Communities In Schools of Benton-Franklin. The work we do at CIS to remove barriers and leverage resources on behalf of local students makes me so proud.
In my career, I’ve collaborated with large organizations, small businesses, and nonprofits to help strengthen relationships and connection in our community. I can tell you this: The work CIS is doing here in the Tri-Cities is special.
As someone who comes from a family of educators, I ask you to join me in supporting the excellent work of Communities In Schools of Benton-Franklin. Donate. Volunteer. Learn more about our mission. Together, we will improve the well-being of local kids.
