Our Mission

Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Why We Exist

At Communities In Schools of Benton-Franklin, we believe every student regardless of race, gender, zip code, or socio-economic background deserves the opportunity to write their own success story.

What We Do

Working directly inside 41 schools throughout Richland, Pasco, Kennewick, Finley and Prosser School Districts; we learn first-hand about the personal challenges and structural barriers standing between our students and their goals.

How We Do It

Our school-based staff work IN schools every day to ensure students have access to basic needs such as food, stable housing, and technology; while also facilitating social-emotional learning, increasing access to mental and physical healthcare, and supporting college and career readiness. By bringing communities of support to our students, we’re fostering equitable learning conditions for all.
